He slammed Bitcoin on The Each day Present whereas selling his new documentary (“Everyone Lies to You for Cash”).

The “Belief the Code” Fallacy

McKenzie, who holds a bachelor’s diploma in economics, defined that his deep dive into the world of cryptocurrencies stemmed from boredom and frustration with movie star endorsements.

In an interview, McKenzie argued that he disagrees with the business’s philosophy that cumbersome human interactions might be changed with laptop code.

“Code does not fall from the sky. Folks write code,” McKenzie mentioned, pointing to a clumsy pre-collapse interview with FTX founder Sam Bankman Fried as the final word proof. “He instructed considered one of his workers to vary a single line of code, which allowed him to borrow a buyer’s property. I can not consider a clearer demonstration of the mental fallacy that code might be trusted.”

The attacker did not mince phrases when assessing the broader ecosystem, and Bitcoin specifically. “Bitcoin is filled with lies. It is filled with misinformation,” he declared. “This place is filled with criminals, too.”

exploit younger individuals

A good portion of MacKenzie’s documentary focuses on the victims of collapsed crypto platforms like Celsius.

He complained that the business was exploiting younger individuals’s innate threat tolerance and social strain.

McKenzie accused the cryptocurrency business of refusing correct oversight. “The best trick of cryptocurrencies, and the cruelest trick, is to shift the blame again onto Mark himself,” he mentioned. “However I genuinely care about them, and I genuinely need to shield them, and the business will not be defending them.”
