The plan is to develop a real-world asset (RWA)-backed stablecoin on OKX’s Ethereum-compatible Layer 2 blockchain X layer, the businesses introduced on Thursday.

In keeping with a press launch, the initiative includes a feeder fund to Hamilton Lane’s Senior Credit score Alternatives Fund (SCOPE), which shall be issued and tokenized by way of Securitize.

“The RWA market is getting into a brand new part the place tokenization wants to supply actual utility, not simply expression,” stated Sehera, who can be CEO of the corporate. “STBL affords a purpose-built structure for RWA-backed stablecoins mixed with compliant yield administration.”

Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo stated the partnership demonstrates how tokenization can deliver utility to property when mixed with regulated issuance and programmable funds.
