Bitcoin’s biggest supporter Michael Saylor says new plan to clean up the blockchain is a ‘bad idea’

Michael Saylor, government chairman and co-founder of Technique, has vehemently opposed a brand new proposal to scrub up Bitcoin’s “spam”, arguing that it may basically change the way in which the world’s largest blockchain operates.

Bitcoin Enchancment Proposal (BIP) 110, which goals to briefly limit arbitrary information in an effort to deal with core monetary features, is a menace to the core rules of the community, Saylor defined in a complete critique revealed in X titled “110 Causes Why BIP-110 is a Dangerous Thought.”

“The proposed remedy is extra harmful than the signs,” Professor Thaler mentioned in a latest detailed evaluation. “BIP 110 will use consensus to slender down legitimate actions, restrict future choices, complicate deployment, and set up a precedent that can’t be erased later.”

Thaler’s major objection relies on the “no questions requested” nature of cash. “Bitcoin’s intent can’t be learn,” Thaler wrote. “The community has no manner of realizing whether or not a byte represents a picture, proof, contract, metadata, authentication file, or future utility,” it claimed.

By banning “spam,” the Protocol would successfully elevate human judgment to Protocol regulation, successfully upending Bitcoin’s conservatism.

“Too aggressive”

Saylor is the newest Bitcoin government to talk out on this hotly debated subject throughout the Bitcoin neighborhood.
